The new H412 represents a new generation of John Deere harvester heads. This compact head has been designed for the John Deere 770D as well as the new John Deere 1070E and 1170E harvesters, and other small and mid-sized wheeled and tracked machines. With its powerful feed, accurate measuring and excellent delimbing performance, the H412 combines the advantages of the two and four-wheel drive harvester heads. The compact size makes it highly maneuverable in dense thinning stands. Equipped with multi-tree handling equipment, the H412 is also the optimal head for energy wood harvesting.
The H412 is characterized by the powerful and slipfree four-wheel drive feed with four hydraulic feed motors. The proven EVO2 valve provides efficient hydraulic oil fl ow and head control. The main frame is machined after welding as one piece, which provides high durability with dimensional accuracy. New feed roller arms feature more durable bearings, feed roller guards, cylinders and pins, and excellent hose routings.
Three moving delimbing knives, one fixed top knife and one fixed back knife follow the contours of the stem. The H412 provides excellent delimbing quality for all stem diameters, even down to 1.6 in. (40 mm).
The efficient SuperCut 100 saw unit provides fast cutting cycles and a maximum felling diameter of 18.5 in. (470 mm), which gives the H412 superb performance in all thinning stages. Automatic chain lubrication and tensioning of the SuperCut saw unit improves cutting performance and reduces maintenance time. |
